I love this pillowcase, I've had it about two years! I bought this case and another popular brand online as well. I have to say, this is a great pillowcase! For the money, I don't know why anyone would spring for the higher priced option. I e noticed no shrinkage, the ivory color is unstained (I don't sleep in make up), no moisturizer "oily spots", no picks/pills, smooth and silky, durable. Mostly I hand wash in woolite but, after all this time I have recently used it a time or two in the washer with some other handwash items on gentle wash. I even placed a couple of bras, with the back hooks closed) inside the pillowcase. Gentle wash, cold with woolite, gentle spin. It turned out perfectly!

I bought these pillow cases a year and a half ago. Sleep on them every night. Hand Washed monthly or so. Hang to dry. No pilling, no fading, just as soft and bright colored as the day I opened the package. I am very impressed!

I've used a silk Alaska Bear eye mask for sleeping for years and haven't found another brand that I love as much. Why? Because I can throw it in the washing machine with my regular laundry once a week and it always comes out looking like new (I always wash on warm, dry on delicate). This pillowcase is exactly the same! I received the pillowcase, threw it in the washer with my whites, washed on normal/warm with cold rinse (regular old Persil or Tide detergent and some Downy softener), dried it on delicate, and it came out just as nice as my eye masks. So soft and buttery silky smooth...it's absolutely lovely. I ordered the standard size with a zipper closure and it fits snugly and securely over my foam contoured pillow. The construction and quality is excellent.

For my purposes, this pillowcase fits the bill. I run hot. Super hot. So does my spouse. I'm also a linen snob. Not all bamboo sheets are the same nor are all 'silk' linens. I don't like satin - it's soft, but it retains heat. Despite my pillowcases being soft and cool, I decided to look at some silk pillowcases because I noticed my face is getting more wrinkly every morning as well as getting balled knots in my fine hair despite putting it in a ponytail when I sleep. I know that non-silk pillowcases can absorb your natural moisture as well as moisturizers. Enter Alaska Bear. I purchased a few different brands. I was specifically seeking a dark navy blue pillowcase. First brand - soft, but felt a little more satiny and warm (while just in my palm/hand). The next brand was also soft and a little silkier, but also warm in my hand. The third, Alaska Bear, felt perhaps a bit softer and pretty silky, but by this time, I wasn't sure if it was in my head because it did feel cooler on my hand. Wow! I tried it one night and it stayed cool and comfortable all night. And bonus - my face didn't have the squished wrinkles the next morning nor did I have those bird's nest hair knots at the base of my skull. True test ... husband. I turned him from a scratchy, sheet-never-no-mind guy to a purist. I used to be referred to as the 'Princess and the Pea.' He's now officially worse than me. HaHa Well, like the ancient Folgers commercial where they 'secretly replaced the coffee in the 4-star restaurant,' I replaced his buttery soft bamboo pillowcase with the silk Alaska Bear. Next morning? Best. Sleep. Ever. His noggin even stayed cool all night. Winner! I'm recommending the Alaska Bear silk pillowcase to anyone in the market for one. And reasonably priced to boot. Oh! And even if you don't care about a silky cool pillowcase against your head, it most definitely helps with keeping your face and hair in better shape, too!

I LOVE this pillowcase! I only hand wash or delicate cold wash and then hang to dry. My skin is happier, my hair is happier and after almost 4 years it’s still holding up. Well worth the money and they are great to look at too. Ordering a new one to replace one with a blood stain I couldn’t get out. I only wish they had some patterned color options.

Very nice material. Very soft and silky. BUT.....I kept slipping all over the place and head kept slipping off pillow and ended up sleeping in weird neck position. Back to cotton-no problems and sleeping better again. I'll take the cotton creases on my face when I wake up compared to slipping about at night. Gave to husband who LOVES it.

Bought one for my teenage son, he loves it. Then my adult daughter and myself, and now this for my travel pillow. Definitely helps my sleep, since it stays smooth during the night. It’s a nice sturdy quality and well worth the price. I have dust allergies, and it helps with that too!

I researched silk pillow cases for a while as they are expensive, and was very happy to find this one. It arrived quickly and nicely packaged. It is pure silk (as far as I can tell!) with all labels stating so. Feels very soft and silky. Well made with a discreet zip. Fits my standard pillow no problem. It’s very comfortable and remains cool so if I wake because I feel hot it’s easy to move along the pillow to feel cool again. Or turn it over as it’s silk on both sides which is worth paying the extra for. In fact, I haven’t woken as much since getting this pillow case so maybe it is part of the reason because it’s keeping me cool. I don’t have creases on my face in the morning like I do when I use a cotton pillow case and that is a bonus as being a perimenopausal woman face creases tend to take ages to disappear!The little hair scrunchie is a nice bonus too and a great way to use the offcuts. Fits my hair perfectly.Very happy customer and will definitely be buying another one. More colour choice (without adding in any nasty chemicals) would be great, thanks Alaska Bear.
