STEAL THE LIGHT

Not a bad song on it. So pleased to have discovered this band.

I was a little underwealmed by Cinema, but having heard some of the new tracks last year at Shepherds Bush, I had a feeling that this album would see the Cat Empire back on form.It has the variety you would expect with lots of latin influence evident again and more horns than Cinema. I'd put this up there with their three best albums (Cat Empire, Two Shoes and my favourite - So Many Nights). Can't wait to see them again at the end of this month. The two early singles, Brighter Than Gold and Steal the Light are both excellent - but for me the standout tracks are Still Young (bouncy and upbeat) and Like A Drum (Latin style reminicent of the feel of their Two Shoes album. The album wraps up with a quiet number - All Night Loud, which has a haunting quality which stays with you long after its finished.Excellent

I cant think of anything I have enjoyed more in 2013 than belting along the rough couintry lanes in the glorious heat and sunshine of the island where I live, after bunking off school for a fantastic sail, listening to this album. My personal favourites were Still Young abd All Night Loud but every song has such a great summer vibe you'll just love them all. This is by no means their best album but its still one of the best ever! 9/10

My girlfriend and I both enjoy listening to the music of The Cat Empire; which is something of a rarity; for us both to like the same music the same amount! This album rates up there with there others, still maintaining the latin sounds and fantastic brass, alongside entertaining and witty lyrics. It is a little slice of audio sunshine.

I only have their first album to compare to, and i must say that they have lost none of their original spunk and funk and smooth tight-as-can-be brilliance: Superb musicianship, great writing, well recorded and edited... a 5 star album for sure! <3

The latest and greatest Cat Empire Album. Touring UK soon do not miss this Australian bands Soul, Jazz, and pure danceabilty music. I am unable to pigeon hole this band truly original please give them a listen, you will not be dissapointed

waited a long time for this but well worth the wait! such a great band, always coming up with amazing new tunes, can't wait to see them live again!!!! the empire strikes back!!!

This is not my number 1 favorite but as I love all their stuff its still exelent to me
