I’ve yet to find a loose tea where I can use this without, as a 2nd step, use a high density strainer to get rid of all the debris this leaves in my tea. It’s a great design operationally but ineffective for the intended use making it pretty USELESS.

I wanted to like this design but unfortunately over time (a few months?) the two halves of the ball separated from each other so that tea leaves fall through the gap. It happened on both tea balls so I think it's a design flaw. Too bad because I liked the ease of use. Might still work for coarser tea leaves or spices like cloves.

I loved the idea of these, how they are engineered. However I've found that in use they tend to be messy to empty. Wet tea leaves get stuck behind the mechanism when it's open and a light tap to dislodge them makes leaves spatter all over the place. I'm going back to my somewhat similar looking good grips version which isn't perfect either but is easy to dislodge used up tea as there is no part or bar for stuff to get stuck behind when it's opened. I like strong green tea so perhaps someone who uses fewer tea leaves than I do may have no problem emptying these. They are well made and should last almost forever.

This is the best product for those that like loose leaf tea like myself. These tea steeping spoons are easy to use. Cleaning them is a little more difficult if the tea leaves get stuck in the slots but overall this is my favorite thing to use to steep my tea.

Love the push button action of these. They seem to be well made. Easy to fill, not so easy to empty out the soggy tea leaves. Shaking or tapping usually means scattering them beyond the compost bucket I'm aiming for. But overall am pleased.

It is a good product easy to clean and made my life just easier in the morning when I do my tea, a little bit felt off but still ok to use

Perfect if your tea pot doesn't have a built-in strainer! I use this with my Staffordshire Brown Betty Teapot from England, which makes excellent black tea, but does not have a built in strainer as most Chinese or Japanese tea pots do. It fits perfectly through the opening at the top and allows me to pull out just the strainer and leave the tea in the pot to pour as needed. Highly recommend.

It's durable and easy to use. However, it is not easy to clean.
