Not bad
This was my 2nd diamond painting piece and a couple of things that I noticed right off were that the legend was too dark to read easily for a couple of the letters (X & Y) and that the brightness of the canvas was not going to be equivalent to the final product. What I mean is that the colors on the canvas caught my attention. to begin with but after applying a few of the gems, I realized the end result was not going to be nearly as bright in color, which was a bit disappointing. Something that I found to be immensely helpful for my 2nd canvas was the use of a light board. This helped so much when trying to distinguish between X and Y when I was getting started on it. You eventually get used to which is which but the light board, in my opinion, is a worthy investment to use with these. Oh, and I also realized during this that I much prefer the square gems. This one is circle but I would recommend that if you are just starting out that you try both out and see which one you like best. My first one was smaller so it didn't take me as long as this one but it was enough to see what I would end up liking. One more thing, some people mention the gems sticking together. This was not something that I experienced more than twice, however, I did roll the packages in my hands a few times before I opened them and placed them in my containers. Have fun!*Edit to add* I went to roll this up so I could store it until I had a way to frame it and before I could even get two rolls in, a couple the beads popped out. That's a sign of bad adhesive. With a quality canvas , you should be able to roll it with the gems facing outward and have no problems with them popping off so I knocked the start off due to this.

A good way to pass some time...
This was my first Diamond Painting project and I’ve got to say, it was a lot of fun! It was a good relaxing project and being able to see my progress as I went along spurred me on.The picture is not exactly what I thought it was going to be, more wide than long, but it was close enough. The instructions were pretty vague and I had to fumble my way in the beginning - do small sections at a time, don’t touch the sticky backing, do yourself a favor and buy small containers for each color, a little bit of the “wax” goes a long way and take your time when putting the diamonds in place. They’re a pain to move once they’re down.On my next project, what I would do different is to do an edge, one diamond at a time instead of using the 3-at-a-time end. I feel it would keep the rows straighter. If you happen to be a bit annal or... should I say, particular... and you are not willing to truly take your time and place each diamond one at a time, this will most likely drive you batty. lol Have fun!

Aloha!
Ok this was a shelter in place but - sooo cute. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out but liked this image - figures the gems would look more stain glassy. My only bad is I got stuck dumb and bc I was hunched over my neck hurt. That of course is a personal problem and showed how much fun it was. Warning it is big! But so cute.I would recommend this the look was great. It will be office decor labeled - quarantine art - once we return.Numbers are hard to read - but makes sense since the beads aren’t big. Just a note in case someone has bad eyes.Bigger issue was not having enough baggies to hold beads I had to use a bunch of random little bowls in my house about 4-5 as I got to the end and needed to have all the bead packets open. I recommend only opening as you need them and start from bottom and go up little by little. Some gems that only needed 10 at bottom I left open as long. As I could so I could use the baggy for beads I used more.

fun to do
I like the image and the dots are easy to use with the tweezers. I used to use the glue stick, but tweezers are much faster

Leary of buying more from this company.
I rarely write reviews, but I should mention that this particular diamond art kit had some issues.I ran out of 3 colors. The company is more than willing to send more, but I'm required to send them my address over the internet and I'm not comfortable with that. Because I do these a lot, I have spare beads that I made work.Another problem is that all the beads stuck together like hamburger buns and I had to sit for hours cracking beads apart with tweezers. Not much fun. Also, the white parts of the painting didn't have enough adhesive on it so the wax from the bead tool was more adhesive and pulled them right off.Beads marked 2 and 8 are the same color. So are beads 1 and 16 which make it not blend very smoothly. 2 is black and 8 is supposed to be dark blue but it's black. 1 and 16 are dark purple and the exact same color. Kind of annoying.Overall, this particular painting was fairly frustrating. I'll be weary about buying another one from Neilden. I have another one from them in a drawer. We'll see if it's better than this one.

Nice set, but.....
I love this set, it looks great and is easy to read. I did have one color of diamonds that I was short on but it wasn't that big of a deal to put in a different color. The real issue is that I have one bag of white diamonds and a LOT of spots to put them, but all of the diamonds are stuck to each other, as in flat sides together to make a ball. I can't get them apart to save my life. I am open to ideas. I need every one of these diamonds to complete my painting. I will be returning it if I can't figure out how to get them separated.

Beautiful!
I had this painting almost finished and needed to get more of a color that I didn't get enough of. Their customer service was impeccable and just sent me a whole new kit at no charge.
