Spectra Premium FD06 Distributor

Fit perfectly, works perfectly, looks very close to original (the vacuum canister wasn't a 'perfect match' but not important to me). My 48 year old vacuum advance was no longer advancing, and I bought this unit - new body / bushing / o-rings / gear with new points, rotor, and cap (actually a second spacer body, cap, and rotor also provided if you run the newer-style wires or stronger coil - I don't but I can use them on a later-model 302) for not much more than the vacuum advance unit would have cost me alone. This was arguably easier to install. Advance works great, car was more powerful and probably getting better spark with the point-actuator not being so rounded like the original. A few simple hand tools and a timing light (or just careful marking of the original if you don't have one) and 10 minutes later you'll have fire. Points were already set well. Definitely would buy again. And of course this is Amazon so it showed up in 2 days as promised.

Used in my 1964.5 mustang 289. Almost plug and play. was able to set the point while it was out of the engine. It also came with 2 different caps. After ajusting the point Place in car and and car stared with no problems. Car running Great with new distributor.

Seems nicely built. But...... If you are going to use this to change over to an electronic/ pointless ignition. Dont buy. The cam lobes are smaller than the reluctor. And it will not fit tight.

This is a 'made in china' knock-off which is not made to Ford Specs, meaning that it uses sub-standard parts not found in a genuine Ford distributor. I gave it 3 stars only because it fit and is working for now.

Great distributor. Replaced mine in my '66 GT works great no issues she is running better than before.
