I like this rechargeable sharpener. It's small, quiet and has easy to align grooves. It has enough power if you don't press down on the knife or put it in at the wrong angle. The problem is, it doesn't actually sharpen a good quality blade. I only have a few knives, but they are good ones that I like to keep shaped up. I thought this might do the trick because most electric sharpeners are too powerful and too aggressive, taking too much metal off the blade. I just wanted at "tune up," not an "overhaul." Unfortunately, it was not an entirely successful tune up. I had a dozen small ripe tomatoes (Compari) that I used as a test. I tried 4 knives on them, starting with one that is a "throwaway" (Cuisinart).I used this sharpener side by side with a pretty reliable two-stage manual with diamond grit grinders. I tried each knife before, then after the electric, and then after the manual. The before was not so good on the Cuisinart, a little better after the electric, and much better after the manual. I ran it through the electric and the manual again, with similar results.I then tried the same technique on my 3 better knives: a 4"paring knife, a 6" chef's knife, and an 8" chef's knife (Caphalon). The before was pretty good on my good knives, was worse after the electric, and then better again after the manual. It was like the electric sharpener didn't sharpen my better knives, but slightly dulled them. Fortunately, I was able to correct that immediately before any permanent damage was done.In summary, this electric sharpener may be okay if you have medium quality knives, or ones that are seriously out of shape, but for regular maintenance on good knives, I would advise against it, or any electric sharpener, as they are just not capable of fine-tuning a good knife edge.

Not professional, but very good and convenient for what it is intended for - for the kitchen.

I like it but it's too loud you do have to hang on to it or it will move all over the place . Probably going to send it back for a stationary one

I got this for my sister. She loves her knives. She told me she really found it helpful saving time and really sharpens well.
