Clearly Tame is a great find for me, because it provides the same great results as my usual ‘name brand’ leave-in, no frizz, and conditioning hair product and it is much less expensive.For reference my hair is very thick, naturally dry, coarse-textured, and frizzy. When I lived on the humid seacoast, I fought and beat my hair down with a brush several times a day. Due to the humidity, my hair had lots of unwanted volume and an absurd amount of height. Any short hairstyles were impossible without looking like a curly-haired poodle and therefore, I resorted to longer hair, held back in different ponytail hairstyles.When I moved to the dry southwestern desert area, I thought that it would be easier to care for my hair, but it did not make any difference, and my hair remained frizzy. Although I use moisturizers, conditioners and an assortment of different oils, my hair dries out quickly in this weather and instead of the humid curly-haired poodle look, I am dealing with frizzy dried out straw.I use Clearly Tame after shampooing, conditioning, and after I’ve blotted off the excess water, but while my hair is still wet. This hair oil is extremely concentrated therefore just a small amount is necessary, too much will result in a heavy excess and it takes longer to dry. Depending on the thickness and length of hair, pump 1-3 amounts of the oil into your hands and rub them together. Then start a few inches down from the hair roots on the scalp and apply it down the full length of hair. I have thick hair that is about 2 inches past my shoulder, and I use just one pump amount and apply the oil from mid-way down the hair shaft to the bottom hair ends. Then I pump once more, to finger comb from underneath and finish off with rubbing the rest of the leftover oil on the bottom ends. Last of all, when there seems as if there is no more oil on my palms, I smooth my hair down from the crown of my head, and although the oil is not visible on my hands any remaining oil takes care of the shorter hair layers from the top. This eliminates those ‘fly-aways’ from both layered pieces and any new hair growth.This oil absorbs into the hair shaft, helps to detangle minor snarls, and the wide-toothed comb glides through my hair smoothly. Then I proceed to blow dry my hair (or sometimes let it air dry on its own), and my hair results are soft, supple, manageable, and it has a silky feeling finish. Additionally, although I have coarse textured hair, it retains a clean and healthy light reflecting shine; therefore, Clearly Tame provides my hair with a professional salon finish.Since I do not wash my hair every day, I also use this on dry hair; however I use a smaller amount. One pump application provides UV protection, eliminates dryness and frizz, and delivers a healthy clean luxurious luster.Clearly Tame is NOT a hair serum; instead this is a blend of different oils, which is much healthier than serums are for our hair. There is a big difference, hair serums sit on the outside of the hair and only coat the hair strands with silicone based ingredients, which offers smooth results. However, hair oils such as Clearly Tame, sinks into hair strands with nourishing ingredients that provides me with healthier looking hair.Additionally, hair oils are a lubricant and sealant, so they work at detangling wet hair, sealing the hair cuticles, and protecting strands from heat styling. The biggest advantage regarding hair oils are all the fatty acids, which replace the lipids (cells responsible for structure and function) in the hair strands.The key ingredient oils included in Clearly Tame are; Almond, Grape Seed, Castor Oil with Peppermint, Lavender, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Geranium, and Tea Tree Oils. These natural plant-based oils have nutrients, anti-oxidants, and anti-bacterial properties, which provide some necessary nutrients and protection from the drying and damaging UV sun-rays.Clearly Tame oil works wonders for my color and chemical treated hair, and it provides protection from the heat of my hair blow dryer, and my curling iron. Additionally, it protects and repairs the constant environment damaging exposures such as our desert hot sun, along with the constant dry winds. In conclusion, Clearly Tame hair oil eliminates the ugly and dry frizz from my color-processed hair, and delivers an amazing healthy shine and luster.

Leaved my hear oily, and is too expensive for what it does.

Only need a tiny bit of this at a time. I use it for my daughter and for myself. Helps smooth frizz and de-tangle. It smells amazing, probably the smell of the rosemary (which supposedly deters lice).

This product is not a light silky serum. The consistency is too thick and it feels like I had oil in my hair.Not for my hair… and probably yours too.

Compré este aceite porque leí que controlaba el frizz incluso en climas húmedos. A mi no me funcionó, lo aplico en el cabello húmedo y conforme se me va secando se me hace una melena esponjosa y llena de frizz

Me lo aplico como vienen las instrucciones para el frizz y funciona totalmente! Lo recomiendo 100% seguiré comprándolo y me animaré a probar otros de sus productos.

Purchased this product back in fall of 2019 and realized recently that this product was expired a full year ago. Not sure if the other products I purchased from this brand are expired. I don't feel comfortable to use these.
