These are listed as being able to be used, as per the description "also use for hiking, camping." Then just a bit farther down in the description it says "Warming tips：This carribeners Not for climbing,Hiking,camping or heavy duty work. " So which is it? Plus the word is obviously supposed to be "WARNING" not "WARMING."That said. These are VERY cheaply made and there's a reason they give you so many in a pack. Take a look at the pictures and notice that many don't fully close. They hang up, won't close, and are visibly bent. I realize these are made from Aluminum and not for real world use as a carabiner, but that's no excuse to make then cheap.I bought these to use as keyrings for spare sets of keys but since many don't properly close, they're worthless for that usage. in fact IMO they're pretty much worthless period. Another imported product that doesn't work properly. The included rings are decent and worth keeping so all in all not a total loss.You have been warned!*** update 10.20.2022***After I posted this the seller contacted me to express their concern that I had received a poorly made product. Even though I explained that I had used a few of the carabiners and was past my return window they issued me a refund anyways. That's great customer service. Shows the company cares about their customers. I've changed my review to 4 stars due to the great CS from the seller.

The quality of these isn't stellar; a few of them busted on me right away. But some have held up for months. It's a mixed bag.

These are perfect for attaching lightweight items to your belt loops or pack. They are less secure than the more expensive stainless steel version, because the opening does not interlock as much. This is better for attaching soft material, because it does not snag on the opening as it tends to do on the expensive models. The non-snagging feature is important, because carabiners are made to be easy and quick to attach, and the snagging is a deal-breaker, because it prevents the snagging when attaching, which is annoying on the expensive ones. They have better quality springs than other cheap carabiners I have used. I use them daily attaching gloves, small tools, or various bags on my belt loops or pack when hiking, mushroom hunting, working outdoors around the property or even attaching a litter bag while walking on the beach picking up trash.

Don't use these for lifting or climbing. I'm using these for a trap hold down and that's about all that it'd trust them for.I don't think that they are actually anodized. I tested the latch on all of them and my finger tips were black after handling them. Anodizing is a chemical process. It won't come off on your fingers. Paint will.Keyrings are magnetic. They may be 409 stainless but I doubt it. For the price, they are probably chromed spring steel.I bought two packs of 20. So far, one out of 40 was bad. Hinge was manufactured incorrectly. Pin was half out and holes are messed up.
