Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a compact vacuum sealer that I could store in a cabinet rather than taking up space on my countertop. This one is great. Even though it is compact, it is quite powerful and fast. It comes with some extras such as sealer bags, and a tube that can be attached to a jar so you can vacuum seal it. It also comes with an extra gasket that is used to seal the vacuum chamber. Seems well built and is very easy to use. I think it is excellent value for the money. If you are new to using a vacuum sealer, this is a great little kit to get you started. If you are like me, you won't go back to using Ziplock bags to store food in the freezer.

Works great for my needs and allows me to buy more in bulk and save money. I use it all the time and haven’t had any problems to date

I purchased these as the recommended bags for my vacuum sealer. It is nice to have them on a roll so you can adjust the size as needed. They do not cut as easily as I thought they would using the slide cutter on the sealer. Cutting them with a scissors isn't the easiest either. It's hard to get a straight cut and without a straight cut, the sealing is harder. I may just go back to individual bags. They seem to be durable. Price seems to be a decent value.

Works as it should,, havent had a problem yet except trying to use the cutter,, just use a finger on each side closest to the cutter and hold it firm. Good product. It has good power. Its fast. Seals great .

Great freeze protection

I bought it in December (currently June) and the first time I used it, it was great. The second time was intermittent but I figured there's a learning curve. The third time was also intermittent, both times I did troubleshooting and everything was correct so I just gave up. When you're freezing portions of bulk meat, it's frustrating when it takes significantly longer than expected and more bags than expected because this vacuum sealer will act like it's vacuuming but not for nearly long enough to pull the air out and then seal it closed so you have to cut it and try again. A couple weeks back, I decided to give it another shot. Now it won't seal at all. Even if I use the hose attachment, it's just got really bad suction. I reached out to the manufacturer because it's supposed to have a warranty. For them to honor that warranty, I need to submit a 20-30 second video less than 10 mb demonstrating it not working while doing the troubleshooting. Using the machine takes 2 hands so I can't do that without a tripod, which I'm not going to buy just to prove a $30 vacuum sealer doesn't work or another person and I just don't think I should have to phone a friend and either do speedruns or edit to make sure my video meets their criteria.At this point, I'm just considering this to be money wasted and a lesson learned.

For the price. Its A1. Easy to operate. Does the job well

I’ve purchased two of these machines so far and frankly I’m pretty bummed.I love the vacuum sealer for its ease of use, consistent vacuum sealing (i.e. actually getting all the air out the first time without having to hold buttons and monitor every seal), and compact design.But I’m disappointed for its durability and longevity.This is the second unit I’ve purchased in less than a year and both have experienced the same issue that makes them a poor investment.There are two foam sealing pads/gaskets on the machine. One on the bottom half of the unit and one on the top. The one on the bottom half is easily removable and can be replaced if worn, damaged, etc. The unit even comes with a spare replacement foam gasket for this reason.The one on the top half of the unit, however, is glued in place and cannot be replaced. For both units that I have purchased, I’ve found that the top gasket, after about 60-80 seals, has become displaced (as pictured) and no longer provides a good seal. The glue will break down and the gasket will no longer make contact with the bottom foam pad. This is especially the case when vacuum sealing moist food.For reference, I use this product to vacuum seal homemade dog food for my dogs every month. The first unit I purchased I was able to use for 2 1/2 months until the top sealing strip was no longer properly in place and I had to throw it away (since it is glued down and cannot be replaced). The second unit I only used for the first time last month. And now on its second use (working through about 30-40 seals per use), the top foam pad is becoming dislodged from the unit and it is struggling to seal properly.I have always made sure to wipe and dry the unit and seals after every seal, especially once I got the second unit. I make sure not to overstuff sealing bags and the moisture within the bags isn’t excessive (it’s just cooked turkey/pasta/carrots). I have tried other brands after my first Koios vacuum sealer broke like this, but none were as user friendly or efficient. When I purchased the second one (the unit pictured) I figured it may have been user error and that I just needed to be more careful following instructions, replacing the lower foam gasket, and cleaning the unit.I have been very deliberate and careful with this unit, read user instructions thoroughly, and unfortunately the top foam gasket is failing even faster than the first unit I purchased.For this reason, I would only recommend purchasing the Koios vacuum sealer if you intend to use it for less than 100 seals in its lifetime as unfortunately it just doesn’t last.This would not be a good purchase for someone doing batch cooking/freezing or someone who needs durability from their appliances.
