I use this sharpener all the time and like it so much that I have given it to several friends. Just a few zips this way and that and your knife is sharp. I have used mine for several years and it is showing no signs of wear and tear. I believe its price is lower than it was when I bought it. You should snap it up.

Works well

I like the size of the Butcher's steel & the weight and it seemed to work good except for a little hang up or burr which may work off soon? Other wise I like the pull I felt, seemed to be perfect almost, Time will tell. I think I'll get some more., OOPS they went up a dollar.

The biggest problem with these are you cannot get them wet. I see a lot of people complain that these rust very quickly, and they do if you get them wet with water. I always have my knives clean before I hone them, so there's really no need for me to ever wash this. Even if I need to, I would just take a sanitizer wipe and then a dry towel to make sure that it's completely dry. If you do that, it'll last for a while. My boss used to be able to get these for free at work before the company decided to go with a different and crappy option. I was so happy when I found this. It's absolutely perfect to hone your knives real quick before you need to cut anything. If this is rusting after just a couple months of use, you're doing something wrong. I definitely buy this again and probably will for my crew.

Got this for child’s first apartment, works ok, but not as good or as quick as mine at home. It’s ok for the price.
