We made it a pepper grinder for now. Wanted a salt grinder, but my coarse salt is too coarse for it and cannot get broken down small enough for the little ceramic gear. Sometimes just spins without gripping and nothing comes out when it is salt. But for peppercorns it seems to do fine. Hard to see the adjustment dial, black on black and not sure it is much of a fine adjustment but we got it where it is about right for the pepper grinding.

When cooking hands may be wet and with some sort of texture hands won’t slip. I have right arm/hand weakness and have added rubber bands to get more grip.OVERALL:Very happy with this grinder. Only things that would be helpful would be more grip texture or a crank handle… but can’t fault it for that because it isn’t the design of it.

Pros: perfect size to hold and to have on your table. Cons: can't seem to adjust grind size. Still meets my needs

I couldn't find ground fennel anywhere so I bought this to grind my own. The price was very reasonable and it works great. The fennel tastes better fresh ground,

used daily... just cant eat "table salt" anymore... it tastes horrible....ive been spolied on the Himalayan salt

Took a while to get the grain size dialed into the one that works for me, so there is a bit of trial and error. It is nice to have the option of a larger or smaller size of grain. I wish I had purchased 2 one for salt and one for pepper, this is a very classy item for table top.

This works great and doesn't leak out like some other ones you might buy
