Nice piece
This looks really nice, it is good quality and stylish - quite heavy and the brass handles give a really modern and classy look. However, in reality it is a bit useless. It's tiny, and the handles are positioned in a way that makes carrying it awkward. More a decorative item than useful.

Could do with being bigger - but very nice
I would say this serving tray is more for decoration than practical use as it isn't huge, but would do well for breadsticks, cheese or canapes. Several of them at a party would really add to presentation and they're wipe-clean. Gold handles do jar a little and steel would be better, but who's going to be looking at it in such close detail?Slate is normally heavy and I found this a lot lighter than I expected so it is portable too.

A nice decorative tray, but could have been bigger ...
This tray looks deceptively large in the picture. The handles take up more space than you imagine so that the usable space in the middle is little bigger than a side-plate. You also have to think carefully about what you will serve on the tray - I tend to avoid things that need cutting or slicing (like cheese or cake) because the handles get in the way. On the plus side, it does look very good - the copper coloured handles are very trendy this year.Underneath, there are little foam circles to stop tray damaging your table. A disappointment with the one that I received was that on one of these there were two foam pads stuck together so that the tray wobbled slightly. The adhesive they use underneath was too strong for me to separate and so I had to remove them entirely and replace them with an alternative from a set of foam pads intended to fit underneath chair legs etc.

A very nice cheeseboard, very easy to wash clean
This arrived just in time for a dinner party, and made a good cheeseboard. After dinner it cleaned very easily!I have deducted one star as we wish it could have been a few inches bigger.

Stylish and practical platter
Stylish and practical platter. Nicely presented with a sturdy, slate base and copper handles, I thought at first it might be heavier than it is but is nice and light without being flimsy and easy to carry and place, with rubberised pad-feet to keep it in place and stable. Looks great, ideal for a dinner party, for me, perfect for cheese. Love it.

And if it should be 'wiped clean' rather than washed, is this really the practical option.......
This is a slightly curious thing - because it has, as care instruction, 'wipe clean' this suggests it should not be washed/wetted - I'm not talking dishwasher, just the normal handwash. And that instruction has left me wondering how practical this really is - would you really be wanting perhaps to mix things on a platter if it can't be properly washed - for example if you had used it to serve cooked meats, and your then had vegetarian or vegan guests, 'wipe clean' is not good enoughNow, as a vegetarian, this isn't going to be a problem in my meat free zone house, but I know vegan friends wouldn't want cheese contamination, say, with this used for crudites after 'a wipe' from a cheese selection use
