Excellent first murder mystery series book. I enjoyed the historical 1920s Bangalore, India background. Fun read. Bought it for my wife but ended up reading it first. Have already ordered second book.

The story was likeable but average for me. I bought it based on the positive review it received in the New York Times, but was disappointed.
