don't forget the nature walk!
From the pictures I somehow expected plastic flowers and leaves. This is in fact much more environmentally friendly and also less eternal than plastic! The instructions tell you to start with a nature walk to collect flowers, twigs, feathers, or anything else you want to add to this. There are some paper "wish" decorations to add, but these are designed to blow off, presumably as part of the wish coming true. We didn't use these. My four year old was able to string the chimes and "wooden" flowers, while I tied the knots. We used some craft supplies to decorate somewhat more lastingly (she wanted pipe cleaners for the antennae instead of the twigs or flowers suggested in the instructions). The string provided is a good weight for beads or buttons and you could probably paint with no trouble if you wanted. The chimes are fairly light, and make a nice sound when struck by hand. We hung them outside in 10 mph winds which are not adequate to induce any natural chiming. If you use natural decorations you may get the joy of redecorating regularly. The central "web" is not terribly visible once assembled but the exterior has plenty of spots to add new objects as the seasons change. My kid had fun assembling this and it looks cute outside the window so I'm giving it 5 stars.

Fun Craft to Make With Your Little One!
My niece and I had a ball putting these wind chimes together. I let her do as much as she could on her own and just sat by her and cheered her on for the most part. I helped her a few times with assembly (tying the knots and fitting all of the pieces in), but she did everything else herself and was so proud of the final product! We did add extra paint, glitter and stickers to the kit to make it even more fabulous, but there is enough provided to have a cute result. You do not need any tools or anything else to assemble this kit, which was great! The instructions were straightforward and easy to understand. The chimes are a little on the small side so you get a tinny sound, but it is still fun to hear in the breeze and know that you made it. I am not sure how sturdy these chimes are and don't expect them to last past this spring, but we had a good time regardless. The price point is affordable and was worth a few hours of fun together!

Pretty creative
I thought this was a pretty creative craft for kids. I pulled it out on a rainy day and started putting it together with my 2 year old son, but realized that it’s definitely geared towards older kids. I pretty much had to do the whole thing for him. Since it was raining, we couldn’t go outside and gather flowers or leaves, so we left that part unfinished for now. But I think that’s really the only part that he can help with this craft.I know the box specifies the suggested age group, but I found that I can manipulate some crafts so my kid can help too. This one, not so much.I’m not deducting any stars because I still think this is a wonderful craft.

Fun and Functional Craft Project`
I got the Craft-Tastic – Nature Wishing Wind Chime for my five year old son and I to complete together. This comes with everything you need to make the wind chime, but I supplemented the materials with a few of our own to add our own touch. The snail is pretty easy to put together. There were some parts that I needed to do, like tie knots, but my son really enjoyed putting the wooden pieces together and decorating/painting it.Once finished, the snail wind chime makes an adorable addition to a garden. The chimes are not the best quality but for a kids' craft they are just fine. Overall, this is really cute and I definitely recommend for kids who like to be creative.

Adult assembly required!
This was a cute craft to do with my son for the start of spring. He decides he wanted to paint the parts, so with a little glitter acrylic paint, he made it his own! We did not follow the instructions for the chimes part, but instead put every single part on the one wind chime.I replaced the string with twine because there was definitely not enough string and also the string did not feel like it would hold up. We did pick flowers to add to it, I just haven't gotten a picture of it yet.Be warned that an adult will need to highly assist in putting it all together if the child is very young. Tying the knots was a struggle enough, but also, the pieces are a tight fit (which is good!).The chimes are very small. And they don't have a nice clear sound. Other than that, this was a fun "Welcome Spring!" homeschool project for my preschooler.

Fun craft project
This project was a huge hit with my 6 year old. We painted the wood pieces together. The assembly was very easy but it was a mom job simply because there was a lot of knot tying. I ended up attaching the extra swirls to the snail so it could all hang in one piece. We haven't had a windy day yet so I hope the chimes still work that way! We had a lot of fun sticking our treasures into the snail and making wishes. This was a really fun project that we will enjoy on our porch for a long time.
