Gentle door closer
Easy to mount and the pressure is easily varied.

broke on first use
installed per directions, put moderate tension on device (enough to close the door but not latch it) tested it by opening the door 90 degrees. worked fine opened the door normal and heard a pop. looked at the devise and noticed the bottom half that houses the lower spring cracked down the center and the spring came undone internally. very cheap built

Great little door spring
had a problem with back door staying open with the animals constantly opening up the door to be with us on the back porch. This was driving up our electric bill. Now the door shuts automatically regardless of who is going through it. It mounts very easily if you have a wood door jam and closes softly so no worries about slamming doors. My husband built this door out of heavy 2 x 4's, it is not lite. The door still closes softly. I highly recommend this product.

Might work for really light doors.
Wanted to try this on my back door, which is mostly one thin pane of glass and weighs barely more than my interior doors do. Trying to adjust it enough to catch the actual latch when closing was not easy and ended up being too much for the interior spring. Worked for the better part of a day. Suddenly one time when opening the door there was a loud pop sound and I am fairly sure the spring must have broke. I was able to get some tension back into it but it quickly wasn’t enough to match the door anymore. It likely would be okay on a screen door or the most basic of hollow interior doors. Would work on a cabinet almost for sure. Basically I wouldn’t want to adjust one more than one turn, without having to move the bar to tighten it. That would equal maybe 2/3 of a turn from the point of no tension on it. Might be better if it had an extension for the roller bar that pushes on the actual door.Overall I can’t recommend this for everyday use. Spend the extra and just get one that is heavy duty for most applications.

As dexcribed
Works as described. Easy to install. I have deducted one star because the supplied screws were small and light. For the amount of stress the spring puts on the device, I would think they should have given stronger screws.Apart from that it is a fantastic device.

CLOSED CASE
This is a repeat buy of a product I brought several years ago. However the rollers at the end are a welcome addition, as the original one only had the metal rubbing against the door which caused some grooving on the frame. This is a good product and does its job.

Poor Construction
This seemed like a good idea but it needed to be adjusted a LOT to even begin to push the door to close. In order for it to actual close and latch the door I had to wind it really tight, and shortly after that the tension spring came loose from its anchors and the unit no longer worked at all. We have very light doors that should have closed even at a low amount of tightening of the closer. Returned the unit. Can’t honestly recommend.
