Stunning
I use to love these atlas books when I was younger, my parents use to have loads of these. I was so pleased to get my hands on the newest updated version and it did not disappoint. It is amazing, just stunning. I wish I had an older version still so I could compare. It is simply packed full and it is big! Much bigger than I remember than being. Really useful and I can't wait to show this to everyone.

A proper coffee table book and it's not just maps.
This book is huge, it certainly makes a statement at approximately 35cm x 26cm, and make sure you have somewhere strong to keep it as the atlas weighs over 2kg.The atlas contains huge amounts of additional data as well as the expected maps, there is information on population, climate, mountains and much, much more. The quality of the whole book is fantastic, all the pages are glossy and vivid and it is a joy to flick through time and time again. The atlas come in a hard slip case to keep it protected and add to the overall experience of opening it up to look through.I think there is a mistake on the product page, I don't think this edition contains the city plans as mentioned. I certainly don't seem to be able to find them.Overall, a fantastic atlas which would make an excellent gift for someone, or you can just keep it for yourself as you might not want to give it away once you have seen it in person.

Disappointing
Very heavy and cumbersome, disappointed in the fact that so many maps don't read well across the binding edge and insufficient clarity in the maps themselves for viewing/reading pleasure.

A Beautifully Crafted Atlas That Inspires Curiosity
What a beautiful atlas! It comes nicely packaged in a protective box, with a durable hardcover and high-quality glossy pages that make it a pleasure to explore.Inside, you'll find a treasure trove of maps covering the world, continents, and individual countries, along with fascinating data on flags, climate, populations, mountains, and more. In an age where everything is digital, there’s something uniquely rewarding about opening a physical book and exploring the world through its pages. The children were absolutely captivated, eager to learn about countries, continents, and their flags. Their excitement made this atlas even more special. This would make an excellent Christmas gift, but for now, it has earned a permanent spot on our bookshelf. A wonderful addition to any home!

A beautiful book, as you'd expect from The Times.
Since being small I've always been fascinated by maps and interesting facts about countries, and photo's of far away lands. Our childhood set of The Children's Encyclopaedia Britannica was a favourite of mine - especially volume 20 which had all the world maps in.I never got to travel much due to a lack of funds, so books like these can transport me to places I've only ever seen in documentaries. This is a work of art this book and now has pride of place on my coffee table. It's beautifully presented, large, and has a good weight to it. It is a true Atlas of the modern day World and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Very smart atlas
This handsomely presented atlas of the world is a pretty definitive piece of work. Goes in to great detail and is logically and neatly laid out. Would make an excellent gift or an excellent edition to any book shelf.
