Puts other options to shame!
I love my google home! I used to be a religious A L E X A user, but the "smart" functions of it really went down the drain and it just turned into a glorified music player that could occasionally speak. Search functionality is super important to me - I have OCD and one of my main compulsions is to google stuff for hours on end (usually to self-reassure any anxieties but it's a slippery slope) so being able to ask a question out loud and receive a clear cut answer has been really helpful for keeping me off my phone and going down a rabbit hole for hours.Anyway, the Home speaker is a pretty good size and looks pretty sleek on a bookshelf or a dresser. Also the voice recognition is pretty good - it can understand me whether I'm tired, yawning, or talking like regular and I've hardly had any incidents where it accidentally picks up my voice. Also, the UI for the Home app is mint AF. It's very intuitive to set up devices from multiple brands and be able to quickly access them all in one place, also the routines are much easier to set up IMO.I'm thinking of getting the mini now so I can use it across my home in multiple rooms! Definitely recommend for anyone who is wanting a TRUE smart speaker

Better than the previous Gen Google smart speaker!
Excellent quality smart speaker by google. Have several of the older Gen which worked fine but we're getting a little laggy at times. This next generation smart speaker by google is quick in response time and louder than the previous Gen Smart speaker.5 stars!

I’m so happy with my Google Nest Audio!
I’m so happy with my Google Nest Audio! As a mom, I use it all day—whether it’s playing music while I cook, setting timers during homework time, or answering the million questions my kids ask (“Hey Google, what noise does a zebra make?”). The sound quality is surprisingly rich and fills the room, and it looks sleek and modern on the shelf. It connects easily to my phone and other smart devices, and I love that I can control lights or ask for the weather while folding laundry. It’s like having a helpful assistant in the house. Super easy to set up, too..

Alexa vs Google
I have both Alexa and Google, and they both work fine. The only reason I purchased this one is because it supports my language, and I have YouTube Premium already, so I can play songs from YouTube Music without any advertisements. The only downside is when you set it with multiple languages, sometimes it's hard to communicate with the unit. So, for the communication and executing commands, Alexa is better, but if you are already paying for the YouTube Premium, then Google is better. I like the design of Google better, too, but overall, they both are good products.

Very versatile
Fantastic purchase! Very versatile. Connects to our home security system, and it allows us to listen to music while we cook.

I almost never write reviews, but this device left me no choice
I almost never write reviews but this device is so frustrating, I'm here going out of my way to share my thoughts. First off, setup and sound are both great, especially for small spaces - I have one in my office pod and it's perfect for filling this reasonably small space with quality sound. It syncs with my vol controls (mac), and play/pause are both very responsive for a BT device. That's where the good stops. This thing reliably disconnects after 30-45min of continuous playback (spotify) when paired to a mac...every...time. App doesn't let it reboot in this state, you have to un/replug the device in. And then it goes on to verbally remind you that the mic is turned off, which, when it's in this state (I never want/trust google voice controls), it displays 4 orange lit dots on the front of the device. Always. The pros do not outweigh the cons with this device, which is a shame given the form factor and sound quality. Do yourself a favor and find something simpler and less bad.
