This is not a cheaply made device! It is high quality, and to keep its weigh down it is made a very high grade plastic material.
Before I bought this I was cynical about its ability to provide any meaningful resistance because I am not completely out of shape. But I took a chance and bought it and I am very glad I did.I am a 69-year-old male who exercises four or five times a week. I do fast walking for about 4 kilometres, followed by 35-50 sit-ups, 15-20 pushups, 35 leg-raises and, 15 angled and partial pull-ups (feet on the ground), 35-40 full squats. I've been doing this for decades. When I was younger I also used a Bullworker but I felt the isometric exercises were not good for one's circulatory system. I also did strength training at the gym with exercise machines in my 40s to 60s and ended up training at home with rubber bands, but stopped because I have high blood pressure and the progressive resistance of the bands was either too light at the start or too heavy at the end of each exercise.Well the OYO personal Gym, with its lightweight and adjustable linear resistance suits me just fine. I discovered that it is not so much of a device for doing very heavy low repetition power building exercises but more of a device designed for high repetition interval training. You can almost do all of the various exercises non-stop and even 15 lbs of the available 25 lbs of resistance is enough to give me a good workout and build up quite a sweat, especially if the various exercise sessions on the DVD or online at the OYOfitness.com website are followed. Starting out I have been combining two Fast Five-minute Workouts (Arms+Shoulders and the Chest+Back), for a really good 10-minute workout almost every day.All in all, the OYO Personal Gym is perfect for what I want to do and that is to keep my muscles toned without overdoing it which could be dangerous at my age. It is a quality device made of a very high grade plastic material and backed by a first class company with great support. Some reviewers expressed that they were not satisfied because it is made of 'plastic'. I guess they expected a heavy duty iron device which would defeat the purpose of the OYO Personal Gym. If the OYO Personal Gym were heavy it would be almost impossible to do many of the very beneficial exercises that are possible with this lightweight but very well made device.

Returned it, don't waste your money
I wanted something to keep at a seasonal home and the OYO looked interesting. It's ok but limited. The resistance will not be challenging for a lot of people. There are a few exercises for which the design works well but a lot of the exercises are awkward to attempt. If you have no experience with free weights, you will probably not use the OYO with the proper posture. I returned it and bought a Bullworker Steel Bow. For the same price as the OYO, the Bullworker package (from the website not Amazon) came with two extra springs for greater resistance, an Iso-Gym suspension trainer, and an Iso-Bow for isometric training. If you're serious about developing strength, don't waste your money on the OYO.

Life-changing product, STELLAR customer service!
I’ll do my best to explain the awesomeness of my customer service experience as briefly as possible.I reached out to the company “OYO Fitness” directly (even though I purchased it from Amazon, because couldn’t Amazon help) and not only were they willing to help in every way possible, but they replied to emails nearly immediately and I got to work with the same customer service professional the entire time. Mandy was probably the most professional and most thoughtful representative with whom I’ve ever had the pleasure of communicating. In addition to the company being obviously very well-managed and having an awesome origin story, the product itself is life-changing, and that’s not hyperbole. There’s literally a way to do any kind of workout, targeting any muscle group on your body. But most importantly you can adjust from 5-to-25 lbs.. It has interchangeable grips for hands, doorways, and straps for just about much whatever you want, but mostly they’re for your feet. Plus it really is small enough to carry easily in your backpack. It’s my new favorite toy. Shout out to Mandy! Thanks again:)Anyway, I say buy it. -Mike

Interesting concept, however, it has a lot of limitations.
it is bit awkward to use and the resistance is too week even with all 25 pounds.Probably you will get better result with rubber strength bands with much less cost.

The OYO Personal Gym makes me WANT to workout!
I wasn't sure at first but after reading some positive reviews I decided to give it a shot. There's a little bit of a learning curve but following along with the videos on the app, you end up picking it up in no time. I'm 40 years old, 20lbs overweight and have a couple of kids, I've been looking for something that's does strength training at home to combine with cardio. I just wanted something that I know I'll pick up and use, I didn't want a huge machine. It's lightweight (2lbs) and 25lbs of resistance may not seem like a lot but after doing 30 or 40 reps...YOU FEEL IT!I'm currently on week 5 of the 10 week challenge on the app videos. I can already see a difference. And when you're working out on a consistent basis I've found my diet is much better. I'm putting in the work and starting to see results. I love it!I just ordered the PRO version and it's easy to set up. Best feature I've found is that it keep track of your reps via bluetooth.

Not perfect, but good enough
Pretty thoughtful product. Just like the name suggests, it is a mini gym that you can bring to almost anywhere due to its size and excises you can do with it. A pretty good one for people who mainly want to gain strength or keep in shape, like me : ) I have excised with it for 2 weeks till now, and I can literarily see the change happened to my body (mainly arms and chest; and I believe abdomen too, but not quite obvious). However, still need to go out and run for aerobic. The only problem I have with it is the two "balls" on each side are not designed to be stable enough... Sometimes, they just "slip"... which can hurt you. Can's injure seriously, but it is still painful.

Just a bit too small
It's clearly designed for medium sized men and women in general. If it were a few inches longer and had twice the resistance I would love it.I use a wheelchair and most fitness centers and fitness rooms have nothing I can use. I may keep it because it's portable and better than nothing, but I really wish it fit better and had more resistance.
