Warm and large
This is a surprisingly large blanket that can easily be used to wrap right around an adult top to bottom, or be shared by two people.Despite a somewhat thin feel and appearance, give it a couple of minutes and you will feel very positive about how much warmth is being trapped and retained. I like the fabric feel too. It doesn't look that cosy as it's not fleecy, but the inside material is very nice to the touch and doesn't strike cold. There are no fancy features like poppers to turn it into a sleeping bag or poncho blanket, but that is fine. The fabric seems durable, although the insulation only appears to be affixed to one side of the material, rather than stitched through. This might be to increase loft or enhance packing, but I hope it remains strong enough over the long term and if washed. So far it's proving to be great blanket for outdoor use; tent and van camping. You can wrap up on chilly evenings or keep your legs warm, then drape it over sleeping bags at night for extra insulation. It is actually very easy to roll up small, but a bit fiddly to feed it into the supplied stuff sack. For the XL size I think it packs rather small and light. However, if you are travelling or backpacking the smaller size might be just fine...the XL is a large blanket.

Light, hot and compact
So we took this camping as an extra ontop of our sleeping bags. However it kept me so warm I didn't need the sleeping bag!The temperature dropped to around 4 degrees and I was toasty! The xl version happily fits 2 adults if you don't move around to much, oh and a dog!We ended up buying a second one of these just for our whippet. Who literally spent every moment he could in it.So they are compact, lightweight and warm . The only downside is whilst the top has a waterproof / water-repellent type layer the bottom does not. So if you are sitting on the grass wrapped up in it, we found the bottom sucked up the grass dew !Just something to be aware of if you intend to wild camp etc but nothing that can't be fixed with weather prof wash.

Warm, lightweight, durable and from a trusted brand in Snugpak.
I can't speak about the waterproof side of the blanket because I've been careful not to get it wet... I can tell you that it's very lightweight and warm considering its relatively thin. I've got the XL and it's a great alternative to a sleeping bag on warm nights. I can use the Jungle Blanket wrapped around my 3 season sleeping bag in the winter too which boost's the temperature significantly. Honestly cannot fault the blanket it's a great purchase for what it is. Some people say it's impossible to get back into its stuff sack but I've never had any problems with this. For me it's no different than stuffing a sleeping bag in a stuff sack. Just keep turning the stuff sack around as you push the blanket in and it goes in without issues.

I'm really impressed.
I was looking for an inexpensive blanket to use while camping or to warm up after a chilly hike, basically something that doesn't cost a lot, is small enough to be in the car without taking up too much space and won't fall to bits or be ineffective in damp conditions. This fit the bill.It arrived and immediately I was impressed, it was great quality, a good size, packs small but most importantly it's warm. My other half is always cold and a couple of times I've found her on the couch with this blanket, Im going to have to hide it.I'm actually planning on only taking this for my next camping trip and leaving my Rab down mummy bag at home, that's how much I like it.

Very practical for hikers and backpackers
At first glance, the all polyester construction is much like a modern sleeping bag. It's well constructed, as one would expect at this price. One side of the blanket is made from the kind of fabric you might use to make a lightweight packaway rucksack. I would expect it to resist splashing and condensation, but it wouldn't protect you from the rain. The other side is softer and more like a typical sleeping bag.The insulation seems to stay in place, rather than bunching up. It feels VERY light and compressible – mostly air, in other words – and it works. The warmth is similar to a "three season" sleeping bag from Lidl that I've tried using as a blanket, but it packs away smaller and lighter than the sleeping bag. Mind you, the sleeping bag was less than half the price.Looks like you can launder and dry it no problem.I'd call this an excellent alternative to a sleeping bag.
