Great quality windproof brolly
Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought for mum as I have used a similar one for a while. It's been fully windproof so far, decent size both open and closed, easy to use. Slightly heavier than expected but I guess that helps prevent it from blowing away in heavy gusts of wind.

Iâm sure this umbrella will be good value for money , itâs strong & well built , also waterproof the only reason I didnât give 5 stars is the round cap from top of umbrella is missing.

Don't but if scared of heights!!!!
I was in 2 minds if this Umbrella really would be windproof. Well I tried it out today and here is my honest review. I live in a windy coastal town of Ilfracombe, Devon and we certainly get our fair share of wind and rain here. Going for my daily stroll around the local park it started to drizzle so I opened the Umbrella with a touch of a button and was impressed at the speed of erection. The overall size is good but I'd score the handle comfort just 7/10 as I found the weight a little on the heavy side. Whilst standing at the end of the park pond admiring the ducks...the wind had started building up and the brollie took a little shaking but was still good and sturdy. All was well UNTIL...... a gust of wind and I felt the brollie lift up a few inches and I had to hold on firmly. Concerned I would let go as the Umbrella slightly lifted again I grabbed the hold of handle with my other hand as tight as possible and as soon as I did, my whole body lifted off the ground and began slowly raising into the air. Scared I was going to fall I gripped the handle tighter and put on a brave smile as my feet past just inches away from the heads of shocked children who stopped feeding the ducks as they gasped and stared up at me. I was at least 20 ft in the air by now and being scared of heights I closed my eyes as the brollie lifted me over the duck pond and even higher into the air. The brollie felt sturdy and kept me dry from the light showers which i score 9/10 but when a gust of wind came it made a sudden voilent judder, I opened my eyes and saw that I was heading in the direction of the Harbour. I was flying over the rooftops of the harbour shops and got caught a stunning birdeye view of the little chapel on a hill and the Verity Statue. The rain had stopped now and people below where looking up and pointing at me and a seagull flew close, I forgot my fears and let go of the handle with one hand as i reached out to stroke it and missed. Said gull wasnt interested in getting affection from me, he had already made a fast decend to a bunch of unaware holiday makers and the carnage that followed in the next few seconds was shocking. Child screaming, mother shaking her fist, chips sprawled over the floor and the dad yelling bad language as he chased seagull who was now making his way out to sea with his mouthful of chips. That's when I saw it... the Bristol Channel. Comming to my senses and remembering I'm flying and was heading out to sea I started to panic and began kicking my legs in hope that I would lower. Then.... I was in total shock.... to my left, a short distant away from me came floating down was a kind looking gentleman with grey hair and halfmoon galsses on his nose and a newpaper tucked under one arm. He was also holding silmiar a looking umbrellaHe appeared very smartly dressed with a calm but slighty cocky expression as he held onto his handle with just one hand. He smiled at me on his way down and pointed to his own Unbrella handle and amongst the sound of me heavily panting with fear, I heard him faintly say "press the button 3 times" and he then landed ever so gently onto the pier and folded his brollie and walked into the pier cafe. Clicking 3 times i felt myself gently decend towards Veritys (statue) and my feet landed gently on her head and relieved I did not go out to sea. I heard the sound of sirens approaching whilst standing on the statues head looking around for a way to climb down. Thank goodness for our local fire crew who in no time set up there ladder and i was safely brought down. The fire officer rolled his eyes when he saw my new umbrella and said it was the 3rd rescue this week and that the umbrella should come with a warning and instructions. I agreed and thanked everyone and began to walk home. The heavens opened and it was absolutely pooring down with rain... but i was happy to get wet this time... no way was i using the brollie again until i contacted the suppilier and requested instructions. Still waiting to hear back. Overall happy with purchase.

Worst umbrella ever
I have had this umbrella for quite some time now and feel I can review it properly based on several factors, rather than just one particular use on what could have been a bad day.. and I would advise you not to buy this! When I got mine, I paid ÂŁ30 or around that price point as it was full price and I stupidly figured that a more expensive umbrella could be a better choice. This umbrella is just full of issues (for me)Before buying, I thought wind proof was just wind proof but it turns out thereâs gust and gale.. this umbrella is gust proof. So fair enough, that was my poor research skills but then you have to decide what âgustâ equates to and for this umbrella, âgustâ means âno windâ even the slightest amount of wind above a breeze, turns this item inside out immediately.Then.. as itâs up while itâs raining.. to sort it you have to press the button to collapse it, then push it down back to its fully closed and seated position, then press the button again to launch it and if youâve not managed to remove the wind from the equation, you end up getting soaked while you do this just for it to happen a second, third and how ever many times it takes for the breeze to come back. So, ok.. at least it keeps you dry when itâs up though, right? Nope! To make this gust proof there is a specific design with the material. Itâs hard to explain but itâs like a skirt design at the top which I assume allows wind to pass through instead of just hitting a solid umbrella. This design, however, causes rain water to leak inside.. and not just a bit. I had photos but I canât find them, of several drops of water forming along the inside spokes. I also had photos of my clothing to demonstrate that, although I wasnât drenched, I was getting wet around the top quarter of my body, from under the product Iâd bought to keep at least my head and shoulders dry! Then on top of that, the Velcro on the retaining strap is poor and is coming away to a point that it now canât hold its self neatly packed away.So donât buy this. It will make you sad and on a rainy day, thatâs the last thing you want!

Excellent product.
My 14 years old grandson says that it is the best umbrella he had and he's not going to share with his father. Easy to open and use. Protects very well, doesn't occupy big space and not heavy.
