We consume a lot of garbanzo beans. Great in salads, in soups etc. This is our preferred brand.

I bought these to make organic hummus. I learned to boil the chicken peas first to remove the skins. My hummus turned out buttery smooth and tasted great (with the help of lots of spices).

These are as good as any other canned chick peas... If kind of overpriced because they're organic. I haven't noticed any difference between them and, say, Bush's or Goya canned chick peas. Except for being organic. Which you can't really taste in chick peas.

I live in the midwest, where it's very cold. I got a selection of 365 cardboard packaged foods to put in the local mini pantry, and also cardboard container protein drinks because anything canned freezes and the cans explode or split open. Personally, I like using canned beans better, but for winter, these can't be beat.
