Love the onboard removal wrench storage
I think this is the right grinder for the infrequent user. I had to replace my existing grinder because I couldn't find the removal tool. Storing the tool in thew handle means as long as I can find the grinder, i will be able to use it.

there are lies on the outside of the box, inside is pretty much what you were expecting for $30
First impressions, the day I received it:1) the side handle doesn't seem to want to stay tight no matter how hard I tighten it. I can see that's going to need some thread-locker.2) the measured current at idle was about 1.5 amps, when grinding correctly 3 - 4 amps. The only way I could get the current to approach the claimed "6 amps" was to effectively stall out the motor."6 amps at stall" (Locked Rotor Current) is not a useful metric to anyone but an engineer. What the Federal Trade Commission requires to be on the nameplate is the Full Load Amps, not Locked Rotor Amps.So that part is a straight-up marketing lie and a violation of Federal Trade Commission regulations.3) the "free grinding disk" is worth what you paid for it; it is too thick to be used for cutting, and too thin to be safe for grinding. It is literally 1/3 thinner than the "Central Electric" grinding disks I foolishly bought from HF. When you're pretending to be a national brand but you cannot do better than Harbor Fright, you are failing.4) it seems a little quieter - while still new - than other cheap grinders I've had. Yet I know from experience what I will find inside the gearbox; a stiff "grease" that stays around the outside of the housing and never migrates into the actual gear surfaces. If you want to make a cheap angle grinder last 10X longer, take out all of that grease and replace it with a grease that will stick and flow. Worst case, you can mix some 90W gear oil into that stiff grease until it will reliably move around (slowly!) the gearbox, ensuring the gears stay properly lubricated. That will also keep those sloppy gears (full of backlash) quieter for longer.5) the switch is a little hard to push into the "stay on" position.6) I'm not fond of the "stow the wrench in the handle" concept. That's a solution in search of a problem. It's a lot harder to remove and replace it from the handle than just picking it up and setting it down on the bench.7) the handle is supposed to be vibration-dampening, but I don't see how - I don't feel a difference between this one and my previous angle grinder.8) the guard rotation latch is much easier to use than the screw-fastening of my previous grinder, tho still not as slick as the one on the $300 Milwaukee. Neither you nor I are in the market for a $300 angle grinder, now are we? And to be honest, I almost never need to adjust the guard.Everything else is the same as every other <$100 4" angle grinder.

Good heavy duty grinder plus it great it comes with a cutoff wheel!.
I really do like this grinder skil is a great brand probably not if better then black and decker maybe better but the value was pretty good cheap for my taste and more trust worthy then harbor freight you know when you buy a skil product it’s gonna be good but the output is very good cut through 1/2 rods in a non working scraped woodchipper gas powered and it started to bog down but was pretty heavy duty and the wheel was getting short literally grinding down and cut through some piece of thick steel and is powerful my my this thing powerful I’m glad I got this then harbor freight probably similar but better in my case and I prefer cored overt Cordless because UNLIMITED power and you don’t have to buy an battery or worry about it tearing up on you even if it’s name brand overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO the hobbyists and even some mechanics just starting out and some jerry rigging stuff backyard silly projects godbless every one John 3:16 please read!.
