Accuracy and quality
Just wanted a good priced cholesterol test as a guide. Worked perfectly. Easy to follow instructions and results in 3 minutes. Perfect.

Flimsy, broken pin-pricker, wouldn't waste my money again
The 2 pin-prickers included were so diffcult to get the tops off that I inadvertently used up my one click on each of them by squeezing the clicker whilst trying to prise the top off.I ended up resorting to a (sterilised) pin of my own to draw the blood required. If you decide to buy this test, be aware that it's based on colour matching a drop of blood with a range of colours on the reverse of the card where you place your blood. In my case, none of them matched, so I've either got sky high cholesterol or it's non-existent.I came away frustrated with the poor usability of the kit and no idea about my cholesterol level, with the added bonus of being £14.99 poorer.

DOES WORK...but..IS IT ACCURATE?
Despite what others state that its impossible to use, it's flimsy, its too difficult and confusing to use... IT IS NOT. It is really SIMPLE to use, but is it accurate? It's difficult to say as you only have a 30 second window to decide what shade of GREEN matches up with your results,as my results where anywhere inbetween 4.6mmol/L and 5.2mmol/L which means at 4.6mmol/L I am in a good range and if I am 5.2mmol/L I am in a high range,I also want to mention you will NEED to fast prior, I also ate a Mcdonalds the day before so? I am unsure if the results were affected by the fatty Mcdonalds I had yesterday lunch time.Does it WORK? Yes, IS it ACCURATE?... not really because it is subjective.HOW TO USE IT/TIPS:-WASH YOUR HANDS WITH WARM WATER AND SOAP,DRY THEM OFF. DISINFECT THE AREA YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE LANCET ON AND GENTLY MASSAGE THE AREA DOWNWARDS TO GET THE BLOOD MOVING.-OPEN THE FOIL PACKET CAREFULLY, THE TEAR OFF LINE IS IN A WEIRD PLACE THAT YOU MAY ACCIDENTALLY TEAR THE CARD.-DO NOT PEEL THE ADDITIONAL PAPER THATS ON THE CARD YET.-ONCE YOU HAVE THE CARD ON A FLAT CLEAN SURFACE, SET UP YOUR TIMER FOR 3 MINS BUT DONT ACTIVATE THE TIMER.-USE THE LANCET ON THE MIDDLE OR THE RING FINGER (USUALLY THE SIDE OF MY RING FINGER WORKS THE BEST)-MASSAGE YOUR FINGER TO GET A SUFFICENT DROPLET OUT I WOULD SAY SAME SIZE AS HALF A FROZEN PEA... IF THAT MAKES SENSE.-WITHOUT TOUCHING THE SAMPLE DOT WITH YOUR FINGER (TOUCHING IT WITH YOUR FINGER WILL MESS IT UP)NOW SQUEEZE THE DROP OF BLOOD ON THE SAMPLE/TEST DOT.-NOW ACTIVATE YOUR TIMER!AND WAIT.-ONCE THE 3 MINS ARE UP, PEEL THE PAPER OFF AND SLIDE THE SLIDER TO SEE WHAT SHADE OF GREEN IT MATCHES WITH.-THEN TURN IT OVER AND YOU SHOULD GET YOUR RESULTS ON THE RED SLIDER.- BE CAREFUL AS AFTER 30 SECONDS ITS DIFFICULT TO TELL WHAT SHADE OF GREEN YOU FALL UNDER.TIPS: MAKE SURE YOU DO IT FASTED.PROBABLY NOT EAT A MCDONALDS THE DAY BEFORE.

As described
Lancet did not work. Used another but it didnt allow enough blood (smaller size) so unable to accurately use. User error rather than product (except for the dodgy lancets!)

Waste of money
I saw the mixed reviews on this cholesterol checker.I followed the instructions not to eat or drink for twelve hours. In the morning which is the recommended time, I carried out the test. It simply did not work, no results whatsoever.I would recommend a visit to a medical professional, don't bother with this.

It put my mind at ease
Bought this for my sister in law. She wanted to do it herself before going to her doctor she says it was easy to do and understand if she needed to go to the doctors. Highly recommended this product

Easy to use
Easy to use and quick. Only advice would be read the instructions and prepare! Other reviewers who complained about it obviously didn’t!🙂

Total waste of money
I have used similar kits in the past with no problems. I followed the instructions and the result for this kit was completely unreadable it didn’t match any colour on the chart. Thankfully I have a rough idea of what my cholesterol level is. The result provided by this was unreadable - waste of money
