My original washer drain pump failed after 15 years. Noise was odd and OE code and wasn't pumping out water on drain cycle. Impeller blades were loose on motor shaft and impeller wasn't turning. Shame it had to go bad on my day off before going back to work and needed clothes washed for work. Ordered this pump and it was here the same day. Took me 10 minutes to remove old pump from under the washer. Just tilted the unit back. Huge access hole on bottom and remove the 5 screws holding it to the chassis then the 3 for the pump motor to housing. Two wires there is no polarity you can mark it or take a picture or orientation before disconnecting it. Clean the strainer filter too make sure there isn't debris in that. Swap the shroud housing to the new pump and reinstall opposite of taking it apart. Washing clothes with the new pump it is quieter than the original pump.

I give this part an A+ for being exactly what was needed and working like a charm. I give LG an F- for making one of the most user unfriendly, unserviceable washing machines in existence. This part will work fine if the pump an LG front loader goes bad, just be ready to cut metal away from blocked screws and other unwelcome surprises during replacement. Once installed, water drains fine theough the new pump with no weird noises being heard any longer. Five star pump in a 1 star machine.

Saved us! Our washer broke before a trip so we ran off to Lowes for their memorial day sale and ended up walking out completely overwhelmed. Then i read about this part and so many reviewers said it was easy to replace, so we gave it a try. Seriously only took us about 20-30 mins start to finish and washer is working again without an expensive repair or replacement!

Worked very well in my LG washer. Took about an hour to install, including moving things around in the utility room. Suggest to get 383EER4001A Washer Inner/Outer Tub Spring Expansion Tool too - it will help to remove and install outer retaining ring on the washer door.

I am happy with purchasing this drain pump motor. Awesome Price! Next day shipping, fit perfectly and OEM. It was easy to install with the help of YouTube video. I will update if the life span is short lived. Bottom line is we saved a ton on $ on repair hourly cost and all the quarters at a laundry mat....

Just installed this pump into my 16 year old LG washer. I was so impressed with part engineering resulting in nice tight fit, screw holes that lined up and no leaks. I hoping the pump holds up and I get more years out old LG.

This saved me! Thought I had to buy a whole new washer and spend but then I figured out what was the issue with the error codes and saw a few vids . Did some research and found this same part for a great price compared to others! Def worth the buy if you know what you are doing!
