Say hello to my little friend
I'm not a professional tradesman, or D.I.Y nerd. I don't have extensive knowledge of different types of jigsaw, although I do have a large one from a different manufacturer. So my view is as a hobbyist, and I love it.I got two packs of 10 blades each in the box, which was nice. An instruction manual, and the hexagon things to fit the blades and adjust bits on the jigsaw, sensibly hanging off a portion of the power lead in a convenient little holder. The weight of the tool for me is just right in use, the grip on point, the construction quality is great, the cable length is sensible, and the overall balance spot on.My tests involved only straight cuts using the supplied blades, ensuring to apply minimal but steady force while cutting. Some 6mm thick PLY was easily dispatched with a lovely edge. Next up was a 24mm (just under an inch) thick piece of solid wood, this was right up to the depth limit of the blade, and probably should never have been attempted. However, fortune favours the brave or the stupid do stupid things, pick a saying. This took a little longer as you would expect, but I was pleasantly surprised at a great result.Meanwhile tapping me on the shoulder was a 3mm piece of ACRYLIC, hoping I would pay it some attention, trying to catch my eye as I went through testing bits of wood. I eventually succumbed to its charms and laid it down, proceeding to let the jigsaw have its way with it. The piece of acrylic was left feeling very satisfied. Edges were nice and I couldn't have wished for a better result.I was eyeing up some steel blades for him, which I think I'll probably get in case there is a need the supplied ones can't manage.Mini jigsaw and I will now go clubbing together, for a pint, and watch the football. Match made in heaven for me.*** Important Update ***The tests carried out were short, cuts. The results of cutting lengths of various material shows up the fragile nature of the blades supplied. These blades easily divert from even a fixed course, once heated by friction. Unless your use is case is strictly light materials, investing in stronger blades is an essential requirement, as you will be disappointed otherwise.

Very Impressive
I have a multitude of power tools from many brands, including DeWalt, Makita Black and Decker but ive yet to find a small job Jigsaw with accuracy and neat cut.....until now! This delivers, I needed for some 1/8 inch ply cuts, lots of them. 11 sheets with various shapes and angles.it made the job so easy and simple, secure the board down to avoid that Jig Saw wobble that often strips bits of ply everywhere.Let the saw do the work, don't force it and you will be blown away by its accuracy and neatness of cut.1 Blade did all the cuts I needed(over 100 of varying lengths) and is still going strong and I have 5 spares!Im now looking for more tasks.* I will say that it is for thinner ply, dont try it on anything over 1/4 inch as it may struggle but I LOVE this highly recommend for craft, small joinery/carpentry work.

Much better than expected
I really did not expect this to be as useful as it is.First thing, before you buy. This is NOT a jig saw. It is a MINI jigsaw / scroll saw.If you try to use it like a normal jig saw you will have wasted your money.BUTTreat it the way it should be used and it is a marvellous addition to a DIY workshop. I have found numerous uses that it may not have been intended for.Its great to cut thin plastics, card board (templates) much better than scissors.Plywood up to 1/2" (even just 3/4"). But be gentle with it advance the cut slowly. Be careful on curves. It is easy to bend or burn the tiny blade if you bully it. You get 10 blades with the saw and I have been using it regularly for some time now and am still on the first blade. So overall it is worth its money if you treat it right.Well that's MY opinion

No blades and not even mentioned in the listing. Disappointed.
Might be a reasonable tool but comes with NO blades and this is not stated in the title or description. Over many years I have bought many electric saws of one flavour or another and I have NEVER bought a saw without at least ONE blade. I now can't use the tool for the job I wanted as I now need to order blades and wait for them to be delivered.

Very pleased - great value
I was sightly hesitant over buying this tool - mainly due to the comparatively low price, but I have to say that so far I have been impressed. The saw is generally of a good quality and works well, but (unsurprisingly) isn't really designed for extended or heavy use. A perfect tool for hobbyists. The blade is 2.9mm wide and in combination with the small body and speed control it is very suitable for more detailed work. It is clearly not as suitable for cutting though thicker materials for extended periods, in which case a more powerful jigsaw would probably be a better bet. The blades look as if they will last reasonably well when cutting wood etc., but with probably quickly lose their cutting edge if they become overheated... but then they are cheap enough to replace and also are available elsewhere on the internet, so I would advise that you should also obtain some spares. This should also be able to cope with lighter metals, such as aluminium. Overall, very pleased with this purchase and it has been a great addition to my workshop.

Blades
I like the tool very much. It works very well. Read the instructions well before use. The only thing I will remark on is getting the blades out. The instructions are not very clear about this. The nut on the scroll jigsaw came out and you had put it back in. And one of the smaller blades bust. They are very fragile. I used one of the longer blades. By the way you had to use a pair of long nosed bent pliers to get the blade out.
