I can't express how thankful I am
I've been having unbearable pain in my knee. It began when I was pregnant. a year later I lost 60lbs hoping it would help, but it's worse than ever. I couldnt even stand in the kitchen and cook because of the pain. The "brace" I got from Walmart during the pregnancy wasn't doing anything for me.The doctor thinks my cartilage may be worn, and the bone is grinding. Sounds like ripping paper when I extend it. Unfortunately the MRI to confirm the issue is 4k, and insurance won't cover it. So I can't even have the test done to know for sure what's wrong. Anyways, I needed something to help until I can afford the MRI.This brace is absolutely amazing. I wasn't sure since it was so cheap, but the reviews were glowing, and $25 was worth a try. I put a compression slip from walmart over my knee, and then this on top. Immediately my pain lessened. My doctor wanted to try to put me on steroids to manage the pain, but with this brace and ibuprofen I don't need it.The hinges are wonderful. I was afraid they would dig or be uncomfortable, but I wear this brace all day every day and never once felt any rubbing or discomfort. They help take the pressure off of my joint, and provide a kind of splint that keeps it from rotating or overextending (which is very painful for me.) I was even able to pick up and dance with my toddler for a little while today without ware on my knee!It isn't a permanent solution. Eventually I will need to get that MRI and further treatment, but this brace has literally given me back my life in the meantime. As soon as I take the brace off, I can feel all the pain, but as soon as I strap it back on it's as if there's nothing wrong with my knee at all.I couldn't sing enough praises for this item. Why are you still reading this??? Buy it! Your knee will thank you!

Has worked really good for me
I had a X ray on my knee to see why it hurt so much. I found out that it’s mostly age related so I bought this knee brace, I’ve only had it a few days, but my knee feels so much better. I also bought some knee socks that I wear under my pants and the brace on the outside although I could wear it under my pants. Before I got the brace I would sometimes almost fall down when I stood up, but that hasn’t happened since I got the brace. As far as the durability goes I don’t know yet, but if I git 6 months out of it I would buy another one for sure. It’s worth it for me not to have the pain. Hope this helps.

Comfortable and supportive
This is a very comfortable & supportive knee brace. It is a bit of a challenge to put on as end have to go behind your knee, but once on and adjusted, you almost forget you have it on.

great support
I had a knee injury and had to undergo surgery. During the time I used this knee brace, I was able to stay pain-free, and it provided great support for walking. I could wear it under or over clothing without any issues. The cost was reasonable, and in the end, I recovered and stopped using it, but I keep it in mind in case I ever need it again.

Good Support, But Uncomfortable
This brace provides good support and does improve walking capability. However, the Velcro does touch the skin on the back side of the knee and is uncomfortable after wearing for about an hour.

Misleading advertising!
TL;DR: Not for chondromalacia patella type of arthritisI bought two of these and wore three times (at length) before reviewing. The short story, is that I expected more, given the reviews, and unless you're wearing a compression sleeve underneath, this knee brace is not enough if you have chondromalacia patella (degradation of the knee cartilage, which I have on both knees). It's a good concept, but the black material this brace is made off is too soft to provide any stability. That's why the metal parts don't actually help, and if you read reviews, people point out that they these out and hurt/poke the skin. Yes, it's because the material is too soft and has too much give, so it can't sustain them in place properly. They seem to be decorative, and not functional.Someone also mentioned that the knee-hole is too small... It is BY NO MEANS as large as the one shown in the photo of the basketball player crouching. That is completely photoshopped. Misleading advertising. don't know if it's the stiff shape (the hole IS rigid because of the ring inside), but I also couldn't get it to sit right (mind you, I'm 5.7 and 140lbs, not a large person by any means). Maybe if you're just overweight and not with a serious condition they might give some support, but they didn't work for me. I couldn't wear them for more than about 2 hours at a time. They felt uncomfortable, and if I made them less tight, they wouldn't work. The velcro strips made to give it stability feel like "two velcro strips" above and below the knee. Not great. Yesterday I gave them one last chance, and I ended up removing both of them in the middle of the street, and I was better off without them. I would have returned if I hadn't thrown out the box. Now I'm stuck with them, so I will be donating them. Save your money, and invest on better braces if you're serious about your health.
