I tried it out before gifting and it worked fine, was really cool actually and moved realistically. Not sure about longevity of the product

Look for a better option, this is trash. I opened it this morning and in less than a day it stopped working. The charger it comes with is too small to plug into the snake- why is it even included, it’s not compatible! I read the directions and attempted to troubleshooting, but it’s not worth it. It worked for 15 minutes, then the snake would only move left, then the snake stopped moving completely. It also will not move on any carpet, and has no traction for hardwood or tile so it just skids around haphazardly. It has only one speed, I will be returning it for something else with a better quality.

The idea is great, the product, so-so. Remote controller doesn't respond well, the snake mostly goes to the left, the remote doesn't respond well to the right function. I bought it for my cat, who is interested, but its so hard to maneuver, its not worth it.

This remote control snake is great, and our 3 cats love chasing it around. We'd bought a cheaper one from a different maker last year, and the battery never lasted long and constantly got stuck in our carpet. This snake is much better quality and keeps the cats happy.

This toy began malfunctioning within minutes of using it. The tires got jammed with hair and this limited its functionality. There are only two wheels that drive the snakes movement so steering is limited. On the second day of light use, one tire lost its tread and I had to take the toy apart to put the tread back on. My son was exited about this toy and was left disappointed multiple times in a day. Needless to say, it is not durable. The reason it is not one star is because the idea of the slithering snake is cool and when the toy functions well it is entertaining to surprise unsuspecting friends and family.

Yeah when you first grab this thing it's not going to look real until you put it on the floor and operate it. It almost cost me my job! At first glance with this thing slithering toward them, even grown men will jump up on a desk. Ask me how I know. Yep you guessed it. Boss didn't like it.
