Excellent earbuds for audiophiles!
I got this for 7.6k during the great Indian sale which is a steal!!! This comes very close to Sony's flagship tws, WF-1000XM4. The audio quality is mind blowing. The ANC is really good. You can say that it comes to about 90% of XM4's ANC capability. The battery life is decent but it doesn't matter to me much as I don't wear it continuously for more than 2 hrs and I put it back in the case after use. The comfort is great unlike the XM4 and you can wear it for a long time. It has a quick charge feature where a 5 min charge gives you 60 mins of playback. As mentioned by another reviewer, don't use the Equalizer in the Sony Headphones app. Install the Wavelet app and use its auto equalizer for Linkbuds S. The difference in quality is huge. Another useful feature is that you can connect to 2 devices at the same time.Do note that the right earbud is the primary unit and it consumes more power than the left one. There will be a slight difference in the battery to about 2 to 6% between both the earbuds. If you see a huge difference to about 12 to 20% or more, one of the earbuds is defective and you need to get it replaced. The only drawback I felt in this device is that during phone calls, the voice sounds mechanical and not natural. When I called my friend via the earbuds, he immediately asked me if I'm using some earphones or headphones as the clarity wasn't great. So if you are buying this device for calls, I will not recommend it. You can look at other premium devices like Samsung Buds 2 Pro, Airpods Pro 2, Bose QC 2, Oppo Enco X2 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The latest Sony flagship, WF-1000XM5, is the best version of the XM4 and the Linkbuds S as it has incorporated all the positives from both devices. If you have the budget, then definitely go for the XM5.

Not as expected. Too many cons
The media could not be loaded. I like sony signature sound quality. But the sound these linkbuds produce are less. If you want to use single bud only you can use right ear bud. Not able to use left ear bud alone. Too many times connectivity issues. Some times the buds wont connect. We need to place it in box again and then when we take it out they will be connected. Plastic used for the case gives cheap feeling. Its slippery also. The lid of the case is vobbling. I dont know why so many youtubers given positive reviews. I wanted to return product. But amazon is providing replacement not return. I regret the purchase. I would have gone for airpodsEdit: 5-7-2024After few updates and formatting now its working fine. I am able to connect ear buds individually now. Sony should take care of their software and connectivity issues with their earbuds. Anyways now they are working fine. If you have iphone, dont think directly go for airpods. They are best

Sony LinkBuds S Review: Impressive Sound and Features with Some Minor Trade-offs
I've been using the Sony LinkBuds S for about a couple of months now...A short review: It's a great product with some forgivable downsides. Definitely 4.5/5.Full Review:I'm an iPhone user and lost my AirPods recently. I purchased the Sony Linkbuds S as a replacement, and until now, I don't regret this decision. Initially, I thought there would be lag and latency in connection as it isn't from the Apple ecosystem, but to my surprise, the connection is pretty seamless (except for the first connection), and you can also connect two devices at a time, which comes in handy when you switch between your phone and laptop.FIT: The earbuds do come with different-sized ear tips (S, M, L). I use the M size for my ears, and it gives a tight seal. The fit is very secure; even during activities, I didn't feel them slipping out of place.COLOUR & DESIGN: I got the matte black edition; both the earbuds and the case have a matte finish. I love black, and since it has a matte finish, it doesn't pick up any fingerprints. Overall, it's pretty decent and minimalistic.SOUND QUALITY: The sound straight out of the box is pretty great with good highs and lows. It does have a bass boost that really amplifies that woofer effect. There is also an app that comes with an equalizer to adjust the sound to your liking. It is worth every penny. Noise cancellation does a decent job of canceling ambient noise to a certain extent, which I feel is one of the best in the market. The ambient mode is the best; it's so similar to Airpods and lets the ambient sound in without any distraction. Now let's talk about some downsides:BATTERY: The battery performance is not great, and with the ANC on, I hardly get 3 hours of playback. Though the case can give you up to 10 hours. With the ANC off, it does give you up to 5 hours of playback.TOUCH CONTROL: The earbuds don't have any physical buttons to control the media or turn on/off ANC or access the voice assistant; instead, they come with touch gestures, which I found pretty annoying at times as they get triggered unintentionally.I also occasionally encountered a few glitches while listening, but after reconnecting, they worked fine.Overall, if you're an Android user or an iPhone user but don't want to invest 26k in AirPods, I feel these earbuds are a pretty good pair to invest in, as they sound better than Sony's flagship model.
