Ran everything on my transfer switch easily

Charged it up. Took 2 hours from 29%. Hooked it up and it runs flawlessly. Powers my well and barely breaks a sweat. This will be for our short power outages we have every couple months for around 4 hours at a time. Anything longer and I’ll charge them with a small inverter generator. So far I really like them. Haven’t hooked solar panels to them but I think they’ll do well.

Looks great wrong item

Looks great. Have not had a chance to try it out. Hook up and operating instructions are poor.Update 8/6/24, The kit I ordered and received I thought was so supposed to be a whole house automatic back up. It is not. I talked directly to Econoflow and they said what I ordered was a manual back up. They are supposed to be sending me return mailing labels so I can return the entire order since it is within the 30-day period. Just sending you this email to document the situation.

302 battery error

One of the two units in this bundle gave me a 302 error code on my first attempt to use it. I wish they would have tested it better before it left the factory. Eco-Flow support was a little slow to respond but they did exchange it. Fortunately I still had the original packaging for shipment. That sorted, everything seems to work. I bought the bundle of two Delta Pros with Double Voltage Hub and 6-circuit Reliance Transfer Switch. The Reliance Transfer Switch is kind of nice in its simplicity. Unlike the Ecoflow Smart Home Panel, it doesn’t contain any relays or other complexity that seems like it’s asking for something to break. It just gives you manual toggle switches for up to six poles, and an inlet that uses a standard generator cable (so, as a bonus, there shouldn’t be much stopping you from plugging in power from a gas generator if you need to do so - provided you can position the generator outdoors and ten feet away from any doors or windows and still run a cable to wherever you’ve mounted the transfer switch). You can’t do anything automatically, like switch back to utility power when your batteries are dead, and I don’t believe you can charge from AC while the Double Voltage Hub is on, so it’s going to require more routine babysitting than a “smart” solution, but as I said I think it’s one of the more robust options. Also be aware that this transfer switch will defeat any AFCI/GFCI protection in your panel’s breakers when it’s in “Gen” (Ecoflow) mode. Reliance tells me that’s not usually a code problem since it’s considered temporary power but they do sell a kit for installing AFCI/GFCI breakers if you really need to. (The NK06 neutral kit - and you have to buy the special breakers separately.) With ordinary gas generators, some people like to use an interlock instead of a transfer switch, but that means switching an entire (sub)panel over to generator power, which is inconvenient if you want to use your Ecoflow for some loads while the utility power is running others. The transfer switch lets you toggle its individual loads between utility and Ecoflow. Be aware, though, that through roughly the 1990s it was common practice to share neutrals between two loads that are on separate legs even though they look like they’re on independent single pole breakers. If that happens you have to switch both loads together, which might be a problem if you want to run one of those loads from your inverter but not the other. Also, unlike the Delta Pro 3 or Delta Pro Ultra, which can generate split phase 240/120 from a single unit, joining two Delta Pro through the Double Voltage Hub means each Delta Pro provides one of the two legs - meaning the two batteries will drain unevenly if your loads aren’t perfectly balanced, and the hub shuts down when either unit is depleted. Some people like to use a Victron Energy autotransformer to work around that, although maybe you should just buy one of the newer Ecoflows for which that isn’t an issue.I bought this bundle primarily to keep my well pump running during an outage. And it seems to be working, although the Delta Pros necessarily drain a certain amount of power just by virtue of being on even if the pump isn’t actively running. And well pumps only kick in occasionally as needed. So we’re eating a lot of power sitting around on standby. It would be really nice if there were a way to automatically turn the inverters on and off as needed for an intermittent load. A fraction of a second delay wouldn’t make any difference with a well pump and could save a lot of energy. I bought 800W worth of solar panels and that hasn’t been enough to keep up with my average 600 Wh per day well pump usage because of the inefficiency. The EcoFlow Blog seemed to state that Delta Pro had a feature to detect when a load was connected and not waste power running the inverter continuously if now, but from what I'm told that seems to only have been a feature of the Delta Pro 3 and Pro Ultra, but that’s moot at this point because they seem to have killed the feature on those models anyway. With this Delta Pro, I'm told each unit draws about 40W with the inverter running and no load. Also, if you need substantial DC power (greater than 10 amps at 12V) you’re stuck using the Anderson PowerPole connector. Be aware that this model uses the “fingerproof” (ribbed) version of that connector, which is much less common and not meant to be mixed with the classic version of the connector (but it does a poor job of being physically incompatible - just enough to make it likely you’ll cause damage if you try to mix and match. Also, I had no issues in a brief test with my conventional generator but the word on the internet is that these units won’t charge from an AC input with substantial harmonic distortion - that could be a problem if you want to be able to recharge from a non-inverter generator during an outage. And don’t get too excited about the X-Boost claims of higher wattage. As I understand it (1) it doesn’t work with the Double Voltage Hub, and (2) you’re not actually getting any extra wattage - it just undervolts the load so it draws less power. This will only work for pure resistive loads with no smarts (maybe a toaster or a sufficiently simplistic coffee maker). The layout is also awkward, with things plugging into the front and back and fans exhausting out the sides, meaning you need clearance all the way around the unit. And the reported battery charge percentages aren’ clearly aren’t very accurate. I’ve seen it jump straight from 75% to 100% after just a few minutes of charging. Really accurate charge tracking would probably drive up the price more than it’s worth, but just something to be aware of.In all, I like the idea of this product and don’t really regret purchasing it, but it’s a lot of money to still be saddled with significant limitations. To a significant degree, that’s the state of the technology today more so than any fault of Ecoflow themselves. I feel like we’re still in the early adopter stage, where it still takes a certain enthusiasm and price insensitivity to make a sale. Hopefully in the coming years they can get the price down and iron out a few of the annoyances. Because we’re getting close to a really great product here.

The product is inconsistent

I ordered a pair of ecoflow delta pro with double voltage hub. The batteries arrived promptly. But it was extremely hard to make both work. One of them refused to turn on, I assumed it was due to update failure or interrupted. I spend 2 days going through hundreds of videos and websites to understand and fix the issue. Finally I was able to make it work by chance. The device doesn't beep when it supposed to beep or light doesn't blink when it supposed to blink which makes the debugging extremely challenging. Finally when I made everything work correctly, I realized they didn't send me the dual charge hub. Overall, this is the best rated battery on the market, I wish the products are bit more consistent.

Plagued with issues with software, wifi connectivity

Plagued with issues with software, wifi connectivity, frequent bricking itself. Cannot self-recover from an issue during firmware/software updates. Cannot output and charge at the same time while using the dual voltage hub or the infinity port. Advertised for more than it is capable of doing. Do yourself a favor and get a dedicated battery, a separate inverter, etc..I would never suggest buying more than one of these to try to keep your house powered other than for a short emergency. I have had to return 4, and the most recent replacement that was shipped to me disconnected from wifi at 18% of a software update and bricked itself.
